In order to promote economic and trade relations between Sichuan and Iran, CCPIT Sichuan Council held an online meeting with Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries on March 10, 2021. Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council and Mr. Mehdi Changizi, Vice President of Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries attended the meeting.

Vice President Lei Xuejie said that she was glad to have an online meeting with Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iran and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Since the establishment of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries, both sides have maintained close contact and established a practical cooperation relationship. CCPIT Sichuan Council has visited Iran for 2 times to hold member matching economic and trade activities, and received strong support from the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Sichuan is the largest and most promising regional economy in western China, and 2021 is a big year for opening up Sichuan to the outside world. As a trade and investment promotion organization led by the provincial government, CCPIT Sichuan Council hopes to further deepen the ties with Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and through strengthening information exchange, building cooperation platforms, and carrying out economic and trade activities, we will jointly help more enterprises to cooperate with each other in trade and investment, and promote the cooperation between Sichuan and Iran. At the same time, Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries was invited to organize enterprises to participate in the "Sichuan Day" during the Dubai Expo.

Vice President Mehdi said that Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries and CCPIT Sichuan Council have the same work functions and objectives. We hope that both sides will play a good role as a bridge and actively promote bilateral business and investment opportunities, and carry out offline activities such as group visits and business matching seminars under the premise that the epidemic is under control, so as to match Sichuan-Iranian enterprises and increase the trade and investment volume between Sichuan and Iran.

Afterwards, Zou Ji’ou, the secretary general of CCPIT Sichuan Council, had an in-depth discussion and exchange with the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries on the topics of interest to both sides, such as the advantageous industries in Sichuan Province, cooperation projects between the two sides and the enhancement of trade volume between China and Iran.
