Mrs. Huang Li, President of CCPIT Sichuan Council welcomed Mr. Gregory Harris, the Principal Commercial Officer and his delegation visit Sichuan. She pointed out that CCPIT Sichuan Council, as an important bridge and link for foreign economic and trade exchanges, has always been a participant, promoter and witness of China-US economic and trade cooperation. Last year, against the background of multiple shocks, the trade volume between Sichuan and the United States bucked the trend of growth, which showed that conditions and opportunities for bilateral cooperation exist objectively. Current, "One Belt And One Road" initiative, Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the Yangtze river economic belt development, to promote the development of the western region to form a new pattern of new era and other major national strategic development opportunity in Sichuan, CCPIT Sichuan Council will give full play to the international contact, trade and investment promotion, commercial law and other carrier platform, continue to promote Sichuan Province economic and trade cooperation with the United States. It is hoped that Mr. Gregory Harris, the Principal Commercial Officer will continue to pay close attention to Sichuan, actively participate in various economic and trade activities organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council, organize delegations of American enterprises to visit Sichuan under the control of the epidemic, and act as a bridge for promoting economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and the United States.

Mr. Gregory Harris thanked Mrs. Huang Li for her introduction and the work done by CCPIT in promoting Sino-US economic and trade cooperation, and hoped to discuss with Sichuan in the fields of education, green environmental protection and finance in the next step to strengthen cooperation.

After the meeting, Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council and Mr. Gregory Harris, the Principal Commercial Officer, jointly attended the 2021 Press Conference of "American Business in China" and the Summer Friendship Dinner (Chengdu) and delivered a speech. Well-known enterprises, media, officials from foreign consulates in Chengdu and representatives from members of American Chamber Southwest China participated in the event, and discussed the opportunities and challenges in education, insurance, finance, manufacturing and other industries in Southwest China.
