On June 2, 2021, CCPIT Sichuan Council and Romania-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly held an online signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding. Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council, and Mr. Corneliu VIȘOIANU, Ｅxecutive chairman of Romania-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the ceremony and signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council pointed out that Romania, as the second most populous country in central and Eastern Europe, has strong economic development and great cooperation potential with Sichuan. Starting point of the "one belt, one road" initiative, Chengdu Chongqing economic circle, the development of the Yangtze River economic belt and the new pattern of the new development of the western region, Sichuan's opening to the outside world has been at a new historical starting point. CCPIT Sichuan Council is an important bridge for the Sichuan business community to carry out foreign economic and trade cooperation. We are willing to take the signing of this cooperation agreement as an opportunity to further deepen the cooperation between the two sides and jointly help the trade and investment cooperation between enterprises of the two sides.

Mr. Corneliu VIȘOIANU, Ｅxecutive chairman believes that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is an important milestone in the next step of cooperation between the two sides. Romania-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry will work with CCPIT Sichuan Council to jointly promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation in brand, technology and products, so as to provide convenience for Chinese enterprises and promote mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mr. Zou Jiou, Secretary General of CCPIT Sichuan Council, and responsible persons of development research department, International Relations Department and Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce attended the meeting.
