On December 17, Indonesia Connect 2024: Unlocking Opportunities in Business, Investment & Tourism was held in Chengdu. Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial CPPCC Mr. Xu Weilin and Ambassador of Indonesia to China Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun attended and addressed in the event. Fan Jun, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan, was invited to attend the event and deliver a keynote speech.

Vice President Fan Jun said that Indonesia has become the fifth largest trading partner and important investment destination of Sichuan in ASEAN, which has a good foundation and great potential to deepen and expand exchanges and cooperation. CCPIT Sichuan attaches great importance to strengthening economic and trade cooperation with Indonesia. Relying on platforms, mechanisms and channels such as the Sichuan - South Asia & Southeast Asia Business Cooperation Development Conference, the China - ASEAN Business Council Sichuan Liaison Office, as well as the representative office of CCPIT in Indonesia, CCPIT Sichuan has maintained frequent interaction and cooperation with Indonesian institutions over the years. CCPIT Sichuan and Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce will continue to give full play to the identity advantages of "both private and public" and the functional advantages of "civil diplomacy" and "economic diplomacy", and make good use of open platforms and cooperation mechanisms to further deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia.

At the event site, CCPIT Sichuan and Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce organized 79 representatives from 58 member enterprises in the fields of food and beverage, cultural tourism, energy investment, construction machinery, legal services and other industries to participate in the event and carry out B2B with Indonesian enterprises in the sectors of park development, capital relocation project, infrastructure, energy and mineral resources, cultural tourism and other fields.
