On January 14, 2025, the New Zealand China Business Exchange Conference Chengdu Station, hosted by the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and supported by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Sichuan Council, was held in Chengdu. The CCPIT Sichuan Council and the Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce were invited to attend and organize business negotiations. Mr. Christopher Metcalfe, Commercial Counsellor of Embassy of New Zealand attended the event and delivered a speech.

At the event, the NZTE introduced the New Zealand Enterprises one by one. 13 industries in the field of dairy products, food and beverage, health products and so on  showcased their products on site. CCPIT Sichuan Council organized 21 Sichuan enterprises to conduct precise docking and negotiation with New Zealand enterprises, jointly explore cooperation opportunities, and promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.

Relevant personnel from the International Relation Department and the Secretariat of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce participated in the event.
