On September 19th, Lv Furong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, met with Zhou Hong, the Chief Representative of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for the Western Region, and his delegation.

President Lv Furong extended a warm welcome to Chief Representative Zhou Hong and his delegation, and expressed her sincere gratitude to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for its long-term support for the work of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council. She emphasized that Hong Kong is an important partner for Sichuan's open development. The two regions have a solid foundation for cooperation, broad space, and strong complementarity in industries. She looks forward to both sides further strengthening mechanism alignment, platform co-construction, and resource sharing, learning from Hong Kong's advanced experience and practices, leveraging Sichuan's late-mover advantages, deepening market synergy, and jointly helping enterprises expand into the international market. In particular, in line with the spirit of the 7th Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Committee, efforts should be made to accelerate the transformation of Sichuan's cultural and tourism resources into high-quality development advantages, promote interactive cooperation and mutual empowerment between the Golden Panda Award and the Hong Kong International Film and Television Fair, and leverage the international influence and commercial value of well-known exhibition activities to stimulate the integrated development of multiple industries such as culture, tourism, and business.

Chief Representative Zhou Hong expressed his gratitude to China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council for its warm reception. He provided a detailed introduction to the core functions, organizational structure and key recent work of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. He stated that the Western region is a key area of focus for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and it will actively promote in-depth cooperation between Hong Kong and Sichuan in multiple fields such as technological innovation, cultural and tourism integration, film and art, biomedicine, medical devices, food and beverages, and consumer electronics, to serve the international development of Sichuan enterprises.

The heads of the Office, the International Relations Department and the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council attended the meeting.
