From June 16 to 18, the Business Circles of Belt and Road Countries and CCPIT Sichuan Council International Exchanges · Guang'an was held. The event was co-hosted by the Training Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the CCPIT Sichuan Council, and the People's Government of Guang'an City. Dmitry Yemelyanau, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Chongqing, José Miguel Vial, Consul General of Chile in Chengdu, Duval de Vasconcelos Barros, Acting Consul General of Brazil in Chengdu, Park Sung Hwan, Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu, Binod Khanal, Deputy Consul of Nepal in Chengdu, Zhang Yi, Director of the CCPIT Training Center, Lei Xuejie, Vice President of the CCPIT Sichuan Council, Chen Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guang'an Municipal Committee, Zhao Tao, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guang'an Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Guang'an City and Wang Ying and Zhang Wei, Vice Mayors of Guang'an City attend this event. More than 150 people participated in the event, including government officials, business community representatives, heads of consulates in Sichuan and Chongqing, and representatives of foreign-funded enterprises from 30 countries (such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Turkey, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Cuba, Japan, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela), as well as representatives from relevant departments and enterprises of Guang'an City.

On-site at the Business and Economic Promotion & Negotiation Conference

On the morning of the 17th, the Business Circles of Belt and Road Countries and CCPIT Sichuan Council International Exchanges · Guang'an — Business and Economic Promotion & Negotiation Conference was held. At the meeting, Chen Wei, Zhang Yi, Lei Xuejie, José Miguel Vial, and Dimitar Stoimenov, an arbitrator of the Arbitration Tribunal of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered speeches in sequence. Zhang Wei, Vice Mayor of the Guang'an Municipal People's Government, Raquel Ramirez, National Vice President and Chairman of Southwest Chapter, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), Adheesha Salpitikorala, Member of the Ｅxecutive Committee of the Sri Lanka-China Business Council, as well as two key enterprises in Guang'an, namely Sichuan Yihui Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Zhongjin Jianghai Technology Co., Ltd., made economic and trade promotions. During the meeting, relevant institutions and enterprises signed a total of 11 cooperation agreements and memorandums of cooperation, covering fields such as cross-border e-commerce project investment, agricultural product exports, shoe and toy OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing), and sales channel cooperation. The total contracted amount reached 365 million yuan.

Signing Ceremony

Zhang Yi stated that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has always been committed to building communication and cooperation platforms for Chinese and foreign business communities, and continuously promoting trade, investment and industrial development among countries. It will continue to uphold the concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, advance the alignment of development strategies, plans, policies, rules and standards, strengthen international cooperation in Guang'an's advantageous industries, and promote the high-quality development of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". He hoped that Chinese and foreign representatives present would make full use of this grand economic and trade promotion fair to enhance understanding, strengthen cooperation and deepen friendship.

Lei Xuejie said that this Guang'an tour is a perception journey to feel the pulse of China's reform and opening up, a discovery journey to explore opportunities for Chinese-foreign economic and trade cooperation, and a win-win journey to promote global economic and trade connectivity. The CCPIT Sichuan Council will continue to serve as a bridge and link, and provide support and impetus for Chinese-foreign economic and trade cooperation and local opening-up and development.

Chen Wei thanked the CCPIT and the CCPIT Sichuan Council for their care and support for Guang'an's opening-up and development, and briefly introduced the social, economic and industrial development of Guang'an.  He hoped that Chinese and foreign guests would act as bridges to encourage more enterprises and chambers of commerce to conduct inspections and exchanges in Guang'an, and carry out deeper and broader practical cooperation in green chemical industry, equipment manufacturing, medicine and health, food and light industry, cultural tourism and other fields.

José Miguel Vial noted that Chile and China have always maintained a comprehensive, stable and fruitful friendly cooperative relationship. In recent years, the exchanges and cooperation between Chile and western China, especially Sichuan Province, have been increasingly deepened. He looked forward to establishing closer ties and cooperation with Guang'an in the fields of modern agriculture, smart agriculture, food safety, renewable energy and sustainable development in the future.

Guest Visit and Inspection

During this period, Chinese and foreign guests also visited the exhibition of Guang'an's characteristic products, experienced traditional Chinese culture programs, and personally felt the vitality of Guang'an's economic development and the charm of Chinese culture. They also went to Guang'an (Shenzhen) Industrial Park, Guang'an BYD Industry Co., Ltd., the former residence of Deng Xiaoping, and Jianchuan Museum to conduct in-depth inspections and understand Guang'an's characteristic industries and cultural tourism resources.

Chinese and foreign guests attending the event spoke highly of this activity. They all said that through this trip, they deeply felt Guang'an's profound humanistic history and the vigorous development momentum of its characteristic industries, and saw cooperation opportunities in industries such as biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, and green and low-carbon development. They expressed their willingness to cooperate with Guang'an, establish long-term partnerships, encourage more enterprises to visit Guang'an, further expand markets and increase investment, and turn success into reality.
