On April 17, 2025, Huang Li, the president of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, met with Shim Yoon Sup, the chief representative of the Korea International Trade Association's Beijing Representative Office, and his delegation.

President Huang Li welcomed Chief Representative Shim Yoon Sup's first visit to China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, briefly introduced the provincial conditions of Sichuan, the functions and responsibilities of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council and the Sichuan International Chamber of Commerce, as well as their key tasks. She expressed gratitude to the Korea International Trade Association for its long-term support for the trade promotion work in Sichuan. She pointed out that South Korea is Sichuan's fourth largest trading partner and an important source of foreign investment. The foundation for economic and trade investment cooperation between the two sides is solid and the prospects are broad. In the next step, she hopes to continue to strengthen communication and exchanges with the Korea International Trade Association, and enhance cooperation in areas such as the construction of cooperation mechanisms, interaction on exhibition platforms, commercial legal services, and special teams serving foreign investment. She invited Chief Representative Shim Yoon Sup to organize business delegations to actively participate in major economic and trade events such as Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services and China(Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo organized by our council, to create more business opportunities for practical cooperation between enterprises of both sides.

Chief Representative Shim Yoon Sup thanked President Huang Li for her warm reception. He said that in recent years, Sichuan's economic development has been rapid, and the achievements made in all aspects have been impressive. He has a deep understanding of the importance of Sichuan. The Korea International Trade Association has always attached great importance to economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with Sichuan and will continue to actively support the various activities of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council. He hopes that this meeting will serve as an opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation, and jointly promote Sichuan-Korea economic and trade cooperation to a new level.
