On November 11th, the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed a memorandum of deepening strategic cooperation in Chengdu. Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, and Ren Hongbin, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of CCPIT and President of CCPIT, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

According to the agreement, the provincial government and the CCPIT will fully implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, actively integrate into and serve major national strategies such as the "Belt and Road Initiative", the construction of National Strategic Hinterland, the new era of the Western Development, and the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-City Economic Circle, to further deepen and expand cooperation in areas such as international exchanges and cooperation, promotion of domestic and foreign economic and trade investment, development of the exhibition industry, commercial legal services, construction of applied think tanks, and reform of local trade promotion institutions, jointly promoting high-quality development of the trade promotion and accelerate the construction of a strategic highland for opening up to the west and a new base for participating in international competition.
Vice Governor Ren Jingdong presided over the ceremony. Hu Yuankun, Secretary-General of the provincial government, and relevant officials from CCPIT and Sichuan Government attended the event.
