On the afternoon of November 11th, CCPIT Sichuan and Amcham China jointly held the Sichuan Provincial Government-Enterprise Dialogue on Serving Foreign-funded Enterprises (USA Session) in Chengdu.

Vice President Lei Xuejie of CCPIT Sichuan said in her speech that the trade volume between Sichuan and the United States reached 125.04 billion yuan in the first three quarters of this year, and the import volume increased by 10.2% year-on-year. Chevron, GE Healthcare, Boston Scientific and other American-funded enterprises have been deeply rooted in Sichuan, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of Sichuan in fields such as healthcare and finance. Michael Hart, president of the Amcham China, highly praised Sichuan's open attitude and business environment. He emphasized that the Amcham China will continue to focus on the three core areas of "advocacy, business and community" to promote deeper and broader cooperation between American enterprises and Sichuan, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
Representatives of the enterprises attending the meeting spoke enthusiastically, sharing their development achievements in Sichuan and putting forward suggestions. Lin Jun, vice chairman of the Southwest Chapter of the Amcham China and vice president of Chevron China, said that the company has invested in Sichuan for over ten years, with a cumulative tax payment of over 100 million yuan, and has been continuously contributing to the supply of clean energy in Sichuan. Representatives from the Los Angeles Department of Tourism and Convention, Chengdu International School, Linkedin China, Albemarle Sichuan and other enterprises respectively introduced their development situations in Sichuan and exchanged views on the development opportunities and challenges in their respective fields.
In response to specific issues raised by enterprises such as green electricity trading, event introduction, medical insurance payment, and school building renewal, the responsible persons of relevant Sichuan provincial departments responded one by one. The atmosphere on the spot was lively and practical.
A total of 11 demands and difficulties of enterprises were responded to at this dialogue meeting. The interaction between the government and enterprises was highly effective. It not only enhanced the confidence of American-funded enterprises in developing in Sichuan, but also laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation between Sichuan and the United States in fields such as healthcare, cultural and creative industries, and sports in the next step. CCPIT Sichuan will continue to leverage the role of the "Special Group for Serving Foreign-Funded Enterprises", constantly improve the response mechanism for enterprises' demands, and create a more open, convenient and efficient business environment for investors from all countries, including US-funded enterprises.
