On January 8, 2026, Muhammad Sawaddee, Director of the Shanghai Office of MIDA (Malaysia Investment Development Authority), paid a visit to CCPIT Sichuan. Wang Guangjun, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan, met with the delegation.

Vice President Wang Guangjun extended a warm welcome to Director Sawaddee and his delegation for their first visit to CCPIT Sichuan in the new year. He briefly introduced Sichuan's conditions, development advantages, as well as the functions, responsibilities and key work of CCPIT Sichuan. He invited Director Sawaddee to organize a Malaysian delegation to attend brand activities hosted by CCPIT Sichuan, including the 2026 Sichuan-South Asia and Southeast Asia Business Development Cooperation Conference, The Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services, China (Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo, and Grand Health Consumption Expo, strengthen cooperation in fields such as financial policies, commercial law services, and information exchange, and jointly deepen economic and trade exchanges between the two places.

Director Sawaddee stated that Malaysia is focusing on developing fields such as electrical and electronic products, artificial intelligence, medical and health care, aerospace, and halal food, which are highly complementary to Sichuan's industries, and there is broad room for cooperation between the two places. He hoped to promote Malaysia's business and investment environment as well as park projects through various economic and trade activity platforms hosted by CCPIT Sichuan, and provide necessary convenience for Sichuan enterprises to explore the ASEAN and even the international market.
