On February 12, 2026,Ms. Lv Furong, President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council (CCPIT Sichuan Council), met with Mr. Uhm Won Jae, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu, and his delegation. Mr. Yongseop Byeon, Director of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Chengdu Office, and Ms. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan, attended the meeting.

President Lv Furong extended sincere gratitude to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu and KOTRA Chengdu Office for their long-standing strong support. She stated that in recent years, Sichuan and the Republic of Korea have maintained frequent high-level interactions and close economic and trade exchanges. CCPIT Sichuan has always kept a sound cooperative relationship with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu and KOTRA Chengdu Office, jointly organizing trade and investment promotion activities and continuously building a pragmatic and efficient cooperation platform for enterprises from both sides. 2026 marks the first year of the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. She expressed the hope to work hand in hand with the Consul General, focus on the advantageous and complementary fields of both sides such as electronic information, automobile manufacturing, food and beverage, medical aesthetics and apparel, as well as cultural tourism, and further deepen all-round cooperation in co-hosting exhibitions and events, providing foreign-related commercial legal services, optimizing the business environment, supporting enterprises in going global, and soliciting advice from expert think tanks, so as to jointly push the economic, trade and investment cooperation between Sichuan and the Republic of Korea to a new level.

Consul General Uhm Won Jae thanked CCPIT Sichuan Council for its long-term support. He pointed out that CCPIT Sichuan Council has achieved remarkable results and played a prominent role in promoting trade development and optimizing the business environment between Sichuan and the Republic of Korea. He expressed the expectation that under the leadership of President Lv Furong, the Consulate General would continue to receive strong support from CCPIT Sichuan Council for all its key work in 2026, and that both sides would work together to steadily expand the trade volume and further deepen the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and the Republic of Korea.

Relevant person in charge of the Department of International Relation, the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and the Department of Business Legal Affairs of CCPIT Sichuan Council also attended the meeting.
