On February 26, 2026, Ms. Lv Furong, President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council (CCPIT Sichuan), met with Mr. Tanvir, Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu, and his delegation.

President Lv Furong expressed her gratitude to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu for its long-term support and briefly introduced the key work of CCPIT Sichuan Council for 2026. She stated that under the framework of the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, economic, trade and investment exchanges between Sichuan and Pakistan have been continuously deepened. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. CCPIT Sichuan Council has always attached great importance to cooperation with Pakistan, and has continuously given play to the role of the Sichuan Liaison Office of the China-Pakistan Business Council. It has built cooperation platforms for Sichuan and Pakistani enterprises in fields such as agriculture and infrastructure construction, and promoted the achievement of practical results in bilateral pragmatic cooperation. She hoped that Consul General Tanvir would support the major economic and trade events organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council, including the Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS), the China(Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo, and the Sichuan-South Asia & Southeast Asia Business Development Cooperation Conference. It is expected to deepen cooperation through exhibition interactions, mutual visits of delegations, and joint construction of overseas service stations for enterprises, help bilateral enterprises expand markets, and inject new impetus into the construction of the upgraded version 2.0 of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Consul General Tanvir expressed his gratitude to CCPIT Sichuan Council for its long-term support and briefly introduced the key exhibition events of Pakistan. He stated that he is willing to actively participate in various economic and trade activities organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council, and looks forward to further strengthening communication and connection between the two sides on the basis of the existing sound cooperation, sharing information on Pakistan's latest investment preferential policies and high-quality investment projects, providing necessary convenience and support for Sichuan enterprises to invest and operate in Pakistan, and pushing the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and Pakistan to a new level.
