On 22 April 2026, Mr. Li Dongchuan, Secretary-General of the Sichuan Promotion Association for the Belt and Road Initiative (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”), paid a visit to CCPIT Sichuan Council. Vice President Lei Xuejie of CCPIT Sichuan Council met with the delegation.
Vice President Lei Xuejie extended a welcome to Secretary-General Li Dongchuan and his delegation, and expressed gratitude to the Association for its long-term care and support for the trade and investment promotion cause in Sichuan. She also introduced the key work arrangements of CCPIT Sichuan Council for 2026. She stated that it is hoped that both sides would further improve the regular communication mechanism, deepen resource sharing and practical cooperation. The Association was sincerely invited to actively participate in key economic and trade events such as the China International Supply Chain Expo and the 2026 Sichuan-South Asia & Southeast Asia Business Development Cooperation Conference. Both parties may deepen cooperation in joint development of exhibition platforms, commercial legal services, matchmaking with overseas delegations, industrial synergy and other fields, so as to jointly build a more results-oriented platform for economic and trade exchanges, help Sichuan enterprises further explore the international market and upgrade Sichuan’s level of opening-up.
Secretary-General Li Dongchuan thanked CCPIT Sichuan Council for the hospitality, and briefed on the Association’s work and achievements in promoting foreign economic and trade cooperation focusing on four key sectors: home building materials, digital culture and creativity, baijiu (Chinese liquor) and new infrastructure. He noted that the Association highly valued its cooperation with CCPIT Sichuan Council and would actively support and fully participate in various key events hosted by the Council. The two sides would continue to strengthen information exchange, resource complementarity and event coordination, jointly support the high-quality development of Sichuan enterprises, and strive to elevate Sichuan’s opening-up to a new level.
Relevant staff from the Department of International Relations, Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of CCPIT Sichuan Council and Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce attended the meeting.
