Sichuan Mediation Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade

Sichuan Mediation Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was officially established in 1994 with the approval of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Sichuan Provincial People's government. It is a permanent international commercial mediation agency under China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council. In 2017, with the approval of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Sichuan Provincial People's government, the mediation center of China Council for the promotion of International Trade (Sichuan) pilot free trade zone was set up. It has a brand on the basis of Sichuan mediation center. Its business is under the management and guidance of Sichuan mediation center, and the same set of mediator roster and mediation rules are applicable.

Sichuan Mediation Center (mediation center of Sichuan pilot Free Trade Zone) accepts cases according to the mediation agreement.

②Scope of accepting cases

Mediation center solves disputes in trade, investment, intellectual property, real estate, logistics, finance, securities, insurance and other commercial fields by means of mediation.

The mediation center accepts the following dispute cases:

(1) International or foreign dispute cases;

(2)Disputes involving the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan region;

(3) Domestic dispute cases.

③Conciliation proceedings

1.The two parties sign mediation clauses or separate mediation agreement in the contract; or although no mediation clause or mediation agreement is signed, one party submits an application to the mediation center, and the other party clearly expresses its willingness or actual action to participate in the mediation process.

2.The applicant shall submit a mediation application to the mediation center.

3.If the mediation center, after examination, finds that it meets the acceptance conditions, it shall issue a mediation acceptance letter and accept it.

4.Enter the mediation process:

(1)If the mediation is successful, the mediation agreement will be signed and the mediation center will make the mediation agreement;

(2)If the mediation fails, the mediation procedure will end.
