2016 China (Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo will be held in Chengdu this August

2016 China (Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo (hereinafter referred to as Chengdu Smart Industry Expo) will be held in Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center between August 3rd and 6th, 2016, with the theme of “developing smart industries and leading smart life”.

I.   Why do we hold Chengdu Smart Industry Expo?

Supported by the fast growing internet and driven by the new round of scientific and industrial revolution, more and more industries are getting “smart” and citizens have higher requirements and expectation for smart life. Sichuan is one of the most important electronic information industry bases in China, boasting favorable conditions and environment for smart industries. However, there is still a big gap between Sichuan and developed countries and regions. Presently, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government is promoting the development of smart industries represented by intelligent manufacturing, information security, digital entertainment and smart life, so a high-level industrial platform should be in place. Chengdu Smart Industry Expo emerged at the proper time. It can showcase the progress made by Sichuan in smart industrial development, play its role as a platform, make sufficient use of the “two kinds of resources” and “two markets” to facilitate the integration of smart industrial resources, bring about advanced products, technologies and ideas, promote Sichuan industry transformation and upgrading as well as establishment of new industrialized cities and bring higher-quality smart life for citizens.

II.  Which institutions have signed strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Sichuan?
