Macro-economy

The international trade of Sichuan increased by 10.1% in the first half of 2014

 Despite the fact that international trade of China has experienced a negative growth in the first half of 2014, international trade of Sichuan achieved growth against the prevailing downward trend, increased by 10.1% compared to the same period last year, achieving a total value of imports and exports of 206.53 billion Yuan.

 The exports of Sichuan reached 134.3 trillion Yuan in the first half of 2014, increased by 9.4%; imports reached 72.23 billion Yuan, increased by 11.4%. Analyzing from the trend, it is obvious that exports and imports increased by 30% in January compared to January last year, afterwards the market started to go down, with March and April continued the downward trend, in May the market started to pick up, increased by 15.2%, and June increased by 27.6%.

 The bilateral trade between Sichuan and main economic entities has speeded up in May and June: imports and exports with the US have increased by 32% and 57.5% respectively compared to the same period last year; imports and exports with the ASEAN have increased by 17.8% and 11.6% respectively compared to the same period last year; imports and exports with the EU have increased by 12% and 14.5% respectively compared to the same period last year, all have increased substantially compared to the first four months.

  The growth of international trade is the result of optimization in product structure. In the first half of 2014, the ratio of primary commodities exports, industrial semi-finished products exports, and industrial products exports in Sichuan is 2.1:12.7:85.2,compared to the same period last year, the percentage of industrial products has significantly increased. Mechanical and electrical products, which accounts for more than 60% of Sichuan imports and exports, is the main force driving the growth of international imports and exports. During the same period, imports and exports of mechanical and electrical products in Sichuan increased by more than 10% compared to the same period last year, respectively pulling Sichuan exports and imports growth by 8.1% and 10.2%.

 In terms of market actors, the imports and exports of local private companies increased by 26.5% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 36.7% of Sichuan International Trade Total Value, the percentage increased by 4.8% compared to the same period last year, which is the highest growth rate and also the fastest. Sichuan’s technological improvement investment increased by 7.2%

in the first half of 2014, compared to the same period last year

In the first half of 2014, Sichuan invested 241.8 billion Yuan in technological improvement, increased by 7.2% compared to the same period last year. Technological improvement investment in June increased by 26.1% compared to May.

     Seven advantageous industries such as electronic information are still the focus of technological improvement investment, the investment in the first half of 2014 accounts for 68% of total technological improvement investment in Sichuan. With advantageous industries in the lead, manufacturing sector achieves investment of 189.8 billion Yuan, accounting for 78.5% of Sichuan technological improvement investment. Traditional industries further strengthened their investments in technological improvement, traditional industries such as steel, construction materials, coal accumulatively accomplished 139.3 billion Yuan of technological improvement investment, increased by 10.7%, accounting for 57.6% of total investment in Sichuan, the percentage increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.

The investment support in key industrial cities weakens. In the first half of 2014, there are 9 cities experiencing negative growth in industrial investment and 6 cities experiencing negative growth in technological improvement investment, 8 key industrial cities achieved industrial investment of 172.5 billion Yuan, decreased by 6.8% compared to the same period last year; achieving technological improvement investment of 135.4 billion Yuan, slightly increased by 0.8%.

Newly-commenced projects continue to recover. In the first half of 2014, there are 2190 newly-commenced technological improvement projects in Sichuan, decreased by 3% compared to the same period last year, compared to May the decreasing amplitude has narrowed by 7.6%. International Trade

 

Chancellor Merkel visited Sichuan, which propels Sichuan-Germany

economic and trade cooperation into a new level

At the invitation of Premier Minister Li Keqiang, the Chancellor of Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel officially visited China from 6th of July to 8th of July. This is the first time that Merkel visited Sichuan, and there are more than 90 entourages in the official delegations and economic delegations. During her time in Sichuan, she will meet with leaders in Sichuan provincial Party committee and government, and attend relevant forums and field trips.

This time Merkel has brought with her a powerful economic representation group, which is comprised by heavyweights in German economic community, including representatives from well-known enterprises such as Deutsche Post, Commerzbank, Air Bus, Siemens, Lufthansa, and Volkswagen. They will attend the “China (Sichuan) - Cooperation Forum of German New Urbanization”, and will pay a visit to Chengdu Planning Museum, Tianfu New District, and Chengdu Branch of FAW-Volkswagen Co., ltd.

Currently, there are approximately more than 150 German enterprises or companies in Sichuan, and the number is increased by 10% each year.  But compared with the Eastern provinces, especially the coastal province, the German enterprises in Sichuan are not too many. The visitation of Merkel signals the intention of German companies to expand operation in West China market.

Germany is already an important economic and trade cooperation partner of Sichuan in Europe. Up until the end of last year, the total value of Sichuan-Germany trade had reached 1.9 billion USD, accounting for 2.9% in total trade value of Sichuan; Germany has accumulatively set up 83 companies in Sichuan, realizing foreign investment of 1.01 billion USD.

The opening of Central Asia International Freight Train

24:00 on 15th of July, the first Central Asia International Freight Train departed from Chengdu, passing by Lanzhou and Urumqi and heading westwards, through Alataw Pass to leave the country, after rail-change, passing Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, the whole journey costs 9 to 11 days.

This freight train can achieve marshaling and transportation of railway wagon, container, and less than container load cargo, the first train carries oil-drilling rig, large mechanical equipment and articles of everyday use, etc., the value of 25 standard containers is approximately 12 million USD. 3 of them are “Chengdu-manufactured” passenger cars, is the first finished automobile exported from Chengdu Railway Harbor. In the future, Sichuan intends to build Central Asia Five-country Commodities Purchasing Center and Vegetable Export Base on the basis of this train, taking full advantage of Sichuan’s strength in light industry and agriculture, promoting the export of small merchandizes, small home appliances, and vegetables to East Asia.

280 Fortune 500 companies have set up subsidiaries in Sichuan, 11 more in the first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014, there are 11 Fortune 500 companies set up operation in Sichuan, 7 of them are foreign Fortune 500 companies. Up until the end of June, there are 280 Fortune 500 companies settled in Sichuan, ranked first in Midwest China, and 207 of them are foreign Fortune 500 companies.

Among the newly added 7 foreign Fortune 500 companies in the first half of 2014, South Korea Pohang, Japan Life Insurance, South Korea Lotte Department Store, US Qualcomm directly invested in Sichuan to establish companies, and Canada Magna International, Swiss Reinsurance, and Hanwha Group set up subsidiaries and representative agencies in Sichuan. Seen from these countries’ origins, 4 of them are from Asian countries, 3 Korean companies, 1 Japanese company; 3 of them from Western countries, 1 Swiss company, 1 Canada, and 1 US. 

These Fortune 500 companies have experienced dramatic growth in Sichuan. In the first half of 2014, there are 5 Fortune 500 companies who intend to increase investment and add new investment projects (17th of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

Chengdu attracted 139.6 billion Yuan of investment in the first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014, Chengdu signed investment promotion contracts worth 139.6 billion Yuan, adding 3 Fortune 500 companies. Up until now, there are 255 Fortune 500 companies in Chengdu, ranked second in 15 sub-provincial cities in term of utilizing foreign capital.

Including 3 Fortune 500 companies, in the first half of 2014 Chengdu singed 219 major projects (including reinvestment), 82 of these projects are above 500 million Yuan, in total 111.538 billion Yuan, accounting for 80% of all investment. “This number illustrates the high quality of Chendu investment attraction,” introduced by deputy director of Chengdu Investment Promotion Committee, Chenbin, the companies brought to Chengdu in the first half of 2014, whether domestic or foreign, all concentrated in the high-end areas such as automobile manufacturing, biological medicine, financial service, and environment protection, in line with the requirement to optimize investment structure.

In the second half of 2014, Chengdu will unleash a series of actions to facilitate investment promotion, striving to bring 5 more Fortune 500 companies to Chengdu, making the number of Fortune 500 companies in Chengdu to 260. (24th of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

The international trade of Mianyang achieved growth against the prevailing downward trend

In the first half of 2014, the fundamental of Mianyang’s upwards economy has remained unchanged, showing a stable growing trend. In the first half of 2014, the GDP of this region is 77.372 billion Yuan, increased by 8.5% compared to the same period last year, within the economy, the tertiary industry achieved the highest growth rate, accomplishing 26.047 billion added value, increased by 9.4%, accounting for 33.7% of GDP, the percentage increased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year. Non-governmental investments are gradually going into the first and tertiary industry.

Against the background of a downward economy, Mianyang’s industrial production has achieved a slight growth in the first half of 2014, accomplishing 41.386 billion Yuan, increased by 9%, the driving force comes from traditional advantageous industries and strategic emerging industries. Among them, value added by“2+4”advantegous industries such as electronic information, automobile and components increased by 11.2% compared to the same period last year, 28% higher than the city average; strategic emerging industries achieved industrial added value of 49.7 billion Yuan, increased by 14.6% compared to the same period of last year; accomplishing 48.3 billion Yuan in sales revenue, increased by 14.6% compared to the same period of last year. In addition, the Mianyang- distinctive military-civilian industry has been growing step by step. In the first half of 2014, there are 31 new military-civilian companies, accomplishing 80.3 billion industrial added value, increased by 23.5% compared to the same period of last year, reaching a sales revenue of 81.9 billion Yuan, increased by 24.6% compared to the same period of last year,

In the first half of 2014, against the troubling backdrop of national imports and exports declined by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, Mianyang’s international trade has achieved growth, accomplishing 1.568 billion USD imports and exports, increased by 6% compared to the same period of last year, among them exports achieved 1.167 billion USD, increased by 11.9% compared to the same period of last year. In terms of product structure, most of these products from advantageous industries in Mianyang such as electromechanical and high-tech industries, whose exports are 590 million and 260 million USD respectively, and increased by 17% and 18% respectively. Emerging international markets is another area of growth. In the first half of 2014, the trade value between Mianyang and ASEAN, Africa, Latin America has increased by 9.5%, 40.3%, and 15.6% respectively compared to the same period last year. New Zealand will set up consulate general in Chengdu

China and New Zealand governments have reached an agreement to set up a consulate general in Chengdu, the jurisdiction district of the Consulate General covers Sichuan province, Guizhou province, Yunan province and Chongqing city.

The Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu will be opened in the second half of 2014, along with the original US, Germany, France, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Philippine, plus the newly-approved New Zealand Consulate General in Chengdu, there are 12 Consulate Generals already opened or approved.  (31th of July, Sichuan Daily)

Chuannan intercity railway is estimated to start construction at the beginning of next year

Chuannan intercity railway is estimated to start construction at the beginning of next year. The construction period of Neijiang-zigong-yibin intercity railway is 5 years, and the construction period of Neijiang-luzhou passenger-freight railway is 2.5 years. The railway from Neijiang, to Zigong, to Yibin, is a designed as intercity passenger-only railway with a speed of 250km per hour, with 6 stations, which are North Neijiang, East Pimu,East Zigong, Dengguan, Linggang, East Yibin. The railway from Neijiang to Luzhou is designed as a passenger-freight railway with a speed of 200 km per hour, with 6 stations, which are North Neijiang, East Pimu, West Changlong, Luxian, Luzhou, and West Luzhou.

As an integrated part of intercity railway network in Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone, Chuannan intercity railway will connect with Chengdu-Chongqing Passenger-only railway at North Neijiang Station. (10th of July, Sichuan Daily)

The income of Sichuan forest ecotourism reached 27.1 billion Yuan in the first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014, Sichuan forest ecotourism received 101,674,000 tourists, achieving direct revenue of 27.1 billion Yuan, increased by 25% compared to the same period last year, driving 76.26 billion Yuan of social income.

In the first quarter of 2014, the direct revenue from Sichuan forest ecotourism increased only 12%, declined by 16% compared to the same period last year. Countryside ecotourism achieved direct revenue of 11.37 billion Yuan in the second quarter of 2014. (3rd of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

Each day, there are 6 newly-established technological SMEs in Mianyang

After nearly one year of incubation, Mianyang’s high-tech SMEs have entered the stage of high-speed development. In the first half of 2014, there are 4060 new private companies in Mianyang, 1139 of them are certified high-tech SMEs, accounting for 28% of newly-established companies, whereas the number of newly-registered high-tech SMEs last year was less than 600.

In 2013, Mianyang first initiated the certification work of high-tech SMEs in Sichuan. In 2013, there are 1872 high-tech SMEs certified in Mianyang, among them about 600 are newly-registered high-tech SMEs; whereas in the first half of 2014, there are 1495 companies certified, 1139 are newly-registered companies. On average, in the first half of 2014, there are 6 newly-registered high-tech SMEs each day in Mianyang. (7th of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

The number of people in and out of China passed 1.5 million in the first half of 2014

Up until the 2nd of July, the number of tourists in and out of the country has reached 1,500,759, increased by 37.26% compared to the same period last year.

From this year, there are 4 new international air lines opened in Chengdu Aviation Port, which are Chengdu-South Korea Yangyang, Chengdu-South Korea Cheongju, Chengdu-Laos Luang Prabang, and Chengdu-US San Francisco, increased the number of tourists in and out of the country. Currently, there are 76 air lines in Chengdu International Aviation Port (Region). This year, the number of tourists in and out of Chengdu Aviation Port is estimated to pass 3 million. Technology City will cooperate with Linkstar to build “Optics Valley in the West”

On 22nd of July, the Administrative Committee of Mianyang Scientific and Entrepreneurial District signed an agreement of intent with Singapore Linkstar Co. ltd, regarding the manufacturing and R&D project for next-generation internet equipment, striving to build Chinese Optics Valley in the West” hand by hand.

Singapore Linkstar Co. ltd will spare no effort in building the project of Optic Industrial Park in China Science & Technology City, conduct research and manufacturing electro-optical transmission products related to telecommunication such as microchip, device, and module; bringing in 10-20 suppliers, build an industrial base of “Unison of 3 nets” and “Internet of Things”, second to none in China. The economic development zone of Mianzhu will cooperate

with Yahua Group to develop phosphate industry

On 22nd of July, Mianzhu economic development zone and Singapore Yahua Group signed a second stage phosphate processing project in Singapore, guiding the phosphate industrial chain of Mianzhu to a new height.

The total investment of the second stage phosphate processing project is 300 million Yuan, including the relocation and upgrading of factories with production capacities to produce 10000 tons of food-grade Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate annually, factories with production capacities to produce 20000 tons of food-grade sodium hexametaphosphate, factories with production capacities to produce 30000 tons of food-grade phosphoric acid (including 10000 tons of electronic-grade phosphoric acid), factories with production capacities to produce 30000 tons of food-grade sodium tripolyphosphate. The second stage project is all about higher value-added products at the downstream of 20000 tons yellow phosphorus project in the first stage. The heat source is the end gas of 20000 tons yellow phosphorus in the first stage, the usage rate of yellow phosphorus end gas can reach more than 95%. (23th of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

The industrial value added from Chengdu enterprise above designated size

increased by 12% in the first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014, the GDP of Chengdu is 484.28 billion Yuan, increased by 8.7% compared to the same period last year, the growth rate is 0.9% higher than the first quarter.

The value added of the 8 distinctive advantageous industries increased by 14.1%, of which automobile industry and electronic information products manufacturing industry increased by 27% and 16.9% respectively. The industrial value added of high-tech companies above the designated size increased by 16.8%, 4.8% faster than the average speed of Chengdu.

In the first half of 2014, Chengdu completes 322.14 billion Yuan of fixed assets investments, increased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year. Of which, the percentage of private investment in total fixed assets investments continues to increase, reaching 57.2%. (28th of July, Sichuan Daily)

 

Chengdu High-tech Zone and Czech have reached

a cooperation memorandum in the area of general aviation 

From 11st of June to 21st of June, a representation group comprised of 60 high-tech companies and 82 entrepreneurs in Chengdu High-tech Zone went to European countries such as Germany, Belgium, Czech, focusing on areas such as innovative cluster, life science, renewable energy, and general aviation, conducted nearly 300 communication activities in Brussels, Prague, and Hamburg, attracting a total of 120 companies from more than 10 different countries.

On 16th of June, Czech Republic Investment Promotion Bureau, EU Project Innovation Center(Chengdu) and Chengdu High-tech District Administrative Committee reached a Memorandum of Cooperation in Prague, promising to promote communication and cooperation between Sichuan and Chengdu government institutes, companies, general airports and corresponding institutes in Czech Republic, promoting cooperation between two parties in areas such as general aviation industrial park construction, air traffic control system, pilots training, and the production, selling, operation and repair of small airplane.  (26th of June, Sichuan Daily)

The first Sichuan Travel Expo will be held in Emei Mountain City

The first Sichuan International Travel Expo will be held in Emei Mountain City from 26th of September to 29th of September. This Expo is positioned to become the trading platform of domestic and foreign tourism products and services, the communication and cooperation platform between domestic and foreign tourism participants, an exhibition platform for Sichuan tourism, it is estimated that there are foreign exhibitors from about 30 countries and regions and 400 buyer groups, will achieve a total of 100 billion Yuan of tourism investment cooperation and purchasing deals signed.

Online-offline interaction will be the highlight of this Expo. When the time comes, “the online version of Sichuan Travel Expo” will be unveiled at the same time, exhibiting merchandizes such as tourism products, souvenirs, tourism real estate, intelligent tourism, self-driving tourism equipment, and outdoor commodities, and the region is divided into Sichuan Exhibition hall, Outside-Sichuan and Foreign Exhibition hall, and Leshan Exhibition Room to show their tourism image. In the morning of 7th of July, 2014, the president of Sichuan Trade Promotion Committee Li Gang met with Thailand consul general of Chengdu consulate general, Mr. Guo Meite and others

The visit of Mr. Guo Meite mainly explains the current political situation in Thailand. He points out that the general situation in Thailand is stable, curfews and military actions have been canceled, at the same time the National Peace and Order Keeping Committee (Peace Keeping Committee) publishes a 3-stage road map for political stability and development in Thailand. Hence, the tourism and trade between Thailand and China have not been affected, hoping more Chinese tourists would come to Thailand. Mr. Guo Meite also expresses, China and Thailand are friendly nations, hoping the changes in Thailand would not affect trade between China and Thailand, welcoming Chinese entrepreneurs come again to Thailand to invest and travel. 

President Li Gang first extends his sincere welcome to consul general Mr. Guo Meite and other entourages. At the same time, he thanks Chengdu consulate general for giving support for our committee. President Ligang points out, China and Thailand have traditional friendship, and Sichuan Trade Promotion Committee also takes the friendly relationship and trade with Thailand seriously. In the afternoon of 7th of July, 2014, vice president Li Li met with newly-appointed Pakistani consul stationed in Chengdu Consulate General, Mr. Buhali and other entourages.

Vice president Li Li first expresses his welcome and congratulation to Mr. Buhali for the appointment of him as the consul of Pakistan Chengdu Consulate General and in charge of business affairs. He reviewed the friendly relationship between CCPIT Sichuan Council and Pakistan Chengdu Consulate General since the Consulate General first opened in 2006, believing that with newly-appointed general consul and consul coming to Chengdu, this friendly relationship would continue.

Mr. Buhali thanks vice president Li Li and the CCPIT Sichuan Council for their long-term support for Pakistan Chengdu Consulate General, and says Pakistan government is paying more and more attention to the development of West China, especially the development of Sichuan, is planning to expand the size of Pakistan Chengdu Consulate General, sending more Pakistani officials to work at Pakistan Chengdu Consulate General. In the afternoon of 8th of July, 2014, President Li Gang of CCPIT Sichuan Council met with Italian consul general stationed in Chongqing, Mr. Ma Feitong.

President Li Gang first expresses his welcome for the visit of consul general Mr. Ma Feitong, and introduces the basic information of Sichuan and Sichuan’s advantageous industries and key companies to him. President Li Gang points out that Sichuan and Italy have many complementary areas such as energy, trade, investment and economic and technological cooperation, hoping both parties would strengthen cooperation and communication, facilitating the cooperation between the companies of two parties, achieving mutual benefits.

Consul general Mr. Ma Feitong thanks the reception given by president Li Gang, and his introduction of development in Sichuan. Both parties agree, Sichuan and Italy have many similarities and many complementarities. Both parties should strengthen communications between SMEs, technological cooperation, actively participating in economic and trade activities organized by both parties, facilitating the development of bilateral trade.   

 

Lombardy, Italy held an investment communication conference in Chengdu

On 24th of July, 2014, Investment Communication Conference of Lombardy, Italy was held in our Committee. Consul general Mr. Ma Feitong, business affair consul Zhangluka, president of Investment Promotion Committee of Lombardy, Italy, Stifaluo, Nigeluo, and president CCPIT Sichuan Council Li Gang, officials in related departments, and New Hope Group, Haite High-tech Company, Sichuan Yuwang Eco-agriculture company, Shenghua Investment Company, Chengdu Xingyu Precision Casting Company attended the conference.

Consul general Mr. Ma Feitong briefly introduces the basic information of Lombardy, Italy. President of Investment Promotion Committee of Lombardy, Italy, Stifaluo, Nigeluo mainly introduces the investment policy and favorable terms of Lombardy, Italy. Lombardy government welcomes foreign companies to invest and establish operation, giving them favorable terms such as a shortened register time, lowering costs, fast visa approval, and 3 months of free office. Lombardy hopes to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as bicycle manufacturing, aerospace, mechanics, cosmetics, design, and high-tech. He points out that, 2015 Milan World Expo is a great opportunity to promote Italy and Sichuan cooperation, hoping Sichuan companies in the area of agriculture, food and other industries would visit Milan then to discuss cooperation.

President Li Gang expresses, Sichuan would participate in 2015 Milan World Expo, hoping to establish close cooperation relationship with Investment Promotion Committee of Lombardy, when the time comes, will organize Italian economic and trade institutions, business association committee, and local companies to participate company-matching activities, in order to facilitate the communication between Sichuan and Italian companies, strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation. President Stifaluo, Nigeluo and Consul general Mr. Ma Feitong all state that they will provide full support and assistance.

 

The first “Chengdu International Automobile Components and After-service Exhibition”(CAPAS)

 was held in Chengdu

The first “Chengdu International Automobile Components and After-service Exhibition” (CAPAS) co-sponsored by automobile sub-committee of China International Trade Promotion Committee (for short Automobile Trade Promotion Committee), China International Trade Promotion Committee Sichuan Council (for short Sichuan Council) and Frankfurt Exhibition (Shanghai) Company, was successfully held from 21st to 23rd of July, 2014 at Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition Center.

It is the CAPAS’s first show in Chengdu, with exhibition area of 35,000 m2, covering 3 exhibition rooms, attracting in total 600 companies from 13 countries or regions to participate. There countries are Brazil, Denmark, Germany, France, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, US, Slovak, Singapore, China, Taiwan China, and Hong Kong China, including leading brands and recognized institutions both domestic and international, such as Affinia, BPI, Dali, Dayco, eBay, Fras-le S.A, Valeo, Haochi, Hengst, Huaqiang, Huirun, Kaituo, ContiTech, LIQUI MOLY, LUO’S, Oxigin, Ruili, Songtian, Tenneco, Wudi, Torch, Yatai, Zhengyu, Zhongheng, and Zhongxing shock absorber. In addition, this exhibition specially invited nearly 3600 key distributors in Southwest China and 2000 terminal equipment companies from 3 industries, which are automobile components, repair and maintenance, related products and changeover, to attend and purchase, striving to create more business opportunities for participating companies and suppliers.

As the host and one of main sponsors of the exhibition, CCPIT Sichuan Council brings local resources together, specially planned a 1500 m2 “Sichuan Automobile Components Exhibition Area”, and invites key automobile components manufacturers and distributors to participate. With the help of professional platform of CAPAS, local exhibiting companies showcase their latest products and technologies, expanding the sales channel of products, hence expanding the brand awareness of their products.

During the exhibition, a series of CAPAS seminars were held by main sponsors, along with Sichuan Automobile Engineering and Marketing Committee, Chengdu Automobile Maintenance Association, and Chengdu Automobile Industry Research Institute. In addition, main sponsors also organize participating companies and purchasers to visit Jinghengde Automobile Components Center and Chengdu Longquan Automobile Expo Center.

Chengdu is one of the ten most economically active cities in China, and with the help of advantageous location and rapidly increasing demand for automobile components and aftersales service, is gradually becoming a hot spot for automobile components and aftersales service industries. Currently, there are major automobile manufacturing projects in Chengdu National Economic and Technological Development Zone from companies such as FAW-Volkswagen, FAW-Toyota, and Geely, and it is estimated in the next 5 year, the upstream economic belt of Yangtze River would have the most developed traffic network in West China. Fully grasping the opportunity, CAPAS strives to construct a professional platform for Southwest China automobile components and aftersales, and gradually develop it into a leading expo for automobile components and aftersales services in the market of Southwest China.
