On March 10, 2022, CCPIT Sichuan Council and Chengdu Association for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the "CAFTEC") held an online video conference to exchange views on the cooperation between the two sides to jointly promote the work of the representative offices of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal in 2022.

Vice President Lei Xuejie fully affirmed the work of CAFTEC and its representative offices abroad in the past year, especially the positive results achieved in giving play to the advantages of "non-governmental diplomacy" in promoting trade in Bhutan. She pointed out that developing economic and trade relations with South Asian countries is an important part of our province's strategic deployment of "highlighting the southward direction". She hoped that the representative office would continue to give full play to its overseas advantages, expand foreign liaison channels, and make good use of the bilateral business mechanism platform of South Asia-China Business Council, Invite guests from South Asian countries to attend China (Sichuan)–South Asia and Southeast Asia Business Leaders Summit and other major economic and trade activities of CCPIT Sichuan Council, effectively carry out enterprise research, and take targeted measures to serve Sichuan enterprises well.

Mr.Chen Xiao, Secretary General of Chengdu Association for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, expressed heartfelt thanks for  CCPIT Sichuan Council and Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce consistent support . She said that in the next step, CAFTEC and its representative offices will continue to keep their original intention in mind, strengthen external liaison and service enterprises, strengthen the promotion of Chengdu famous and special products / well-known enterprises online promotion conference, Sri Lanka solid waste treatment, Bhutan and Nepal student exchange and other projects, constantly improve the influence and popularity of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce's representative offices abroad, and promote Sichuan and Sri Lanka Economic and trade exchanges between Bhutan, Nepal and other regions in South Asia. Subsequently, the representatives stationed abroad reported on the work of the representative office in carrying out daily liaison, strengthening foreign publicity, promoting trade and investment, culture, tourism and education exchanges last year.

The representative offices of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal were established in March 2020 and jointly built by Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce and Chengdu Association for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
