Vice President Lei Xuejie said that Zambia is a traditional and friendly "all-weather friend" of China, and the relationship between the two countries has become a benchmark for China Africa friendship. Under the framework of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and Zambia continues to deepen. As a trade and investment promotion agency led by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, CCPIT Sichuan Council will actively build a comprehensive service system, strengthen contacts with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Zambia, and promote more practical cooperation by sharing economic and trade information, holding online negotiations, participating in exhibitions, etc.
President Li Tie said that Zambia is an important economy in southern Africa, and China has become one of the most important sources of foreign investment in Zambia, with a good foundation for cooperation between the two sides. Zambia has great investment potential in copper, cobalt, agriculture, manufacturing and other fields. It is hoped that with the support of CCPIT Sichuan Council, more Sichuan enterprises will be attracted to Zambia to seek business opportunities and expand markets.
