On Sep. 6, Co-hosted by CCPIT Sichuan and FAO Sichuan, the Sichuan-Fergana Economic and Trade Promotion Conference & Business Matchmaking was held in Chengdu. This conference is one of events of the "Belt and Road" Sichuan International Sister City Cooperation and Development Forum, aiming to further deepen economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Sichuan Province and Uzbekistan. H.E. BOZAROV Khayrullo, Governor of the Fergana Region, H.E. Farhod Arziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan in China and Mrs. Huang Li, President of CCPIT Sichuan delivered speeches.

During the matchmaking, 95 Sichuan enterprises, including China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd., Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd., and Huayi Tea Industry Company, and representatives of 24 key enterprises of Fergana attended the meeting to discuss in-depth cooperation in the fields of footwear and textiles, building materials, agricultural and sideline products, chemical products and science and technology. Among them, 20 Chinese enterprises reached cooperation intentions with the Uzbekistan side, and the on-site intention business amount reached 2 million yuan, mainly concentrated in footwear, bamboo products, meat, fruits, fertilizers and other fields.
