On March 30 afternoon, vice president Li Li met a delegation led by Amit Narang, Indian ambassador to China.

Vice president Li Li welcomed ambassador Amit Narang's first visit of Sichuan Council. During the meeting, vice president Li Li recalled the close economic and trade cooperation between CCPIT Sichuan Council and related departments in India. Sichuan Council has striven to set up a platform and expand cooperation channels to actively promote Sichuan enterprises to go to India and understand the country. He said that Sichuan Council holds economic and trade events in India and Chengdu every year, such as organize Sichuan enterprises to participate in the exhibition of "Sichuan Commodity (India) Exhibition" held in India, and invite Indian economic and trade professionals to participate in "South Asia-Sichuan Promotion Round-Table Conference" to introduce India, with the goal to promote deeper exchange on economy, trade, culture, law, policy, etc., of enterprises from the two sides. Through the frequent bilateral communication, the enterprises of China and India have achieved substantial cooperation exchanges results.

Ambassador Amit Narang thanked Sichuan Council's efforts in the promotion of cooperation between Sichuan and India on economy and trade in recent years. He showed India's efforts on the economic and trade cooperation between India and southwest China, especially Sichuan. More Sichuan eterprises are welcome to invest in India and participate in the "Made in India". India embassy to China plans to hold a big India Investment meeting in 2017, and it hopes more enterprises will be invited and organized to participate in the event under the support of Sichuan Council.

Vice president Li Li showed his support to the proposal, and he hoped the two sides will keep a close cooperation and strive to build a smoother and higher efficient economic and trade cooperation channel, and further discussion is needed for specifications.

Officials from International Cooperation Department and Conference Information Department of Sichuan Council were present at the meeting.
