On May 8 morning, 2017, jointly sponsored by Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Sichuan and CCPIT Sichuan Council, The Economic and Trade Cooperation Meeting between Sichuan Province, P.R.C and Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand was successfully held in Jinjiang Hotel, Chengdu. Li Gang, president of CCPIT Sichuan Council, Mr.Vichien Chantaranothai, governor of  Nakhon Ratchasima, Ms.Nattineeporn Chantaranothai, , director of  Nakhon Ratchasima Red Cross, and commercial counselor of Consulate General of Thailand in Chengdu, and representatives from industries like agriculture, construction, hotel, appliances, jewelry, etc. participated in the cooperation meeting.

President Li Gang firstly extended his warm welcome to Thai delegation lead by Mr.Vichien Chantaranothai, governor of Nakhon Ratchasima. In his speech, he said Thailand is a major country along the Belt and Road Initiative, and a major country our council works with. We have kept a good cooperation with Consulate General of Thailand in Chengdu and major Thai commerce chambers and have brought substantial benefits to the related enterprises. At the meeting, President Li Gang proposed two suggestions: First, expand the reciprocal benefit points through varied ways of cooperation. Second, utilized the functions of commercial societies to provide better services.
