On June 27, 2017, under the invitation of Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu, Li Gang, president of CCPIT Sichuan Council, attended the farewell reception for the retirement of Consul General Ms. Amna Baloch held in Shangri-la Hotel.

At the reception, President Li Gang thanked Consul General Baloch for her support of CCPIT Sichuan Council during her three years office, and hoped that there will still be chances for cooperation after she goes back to Pakistan and takes up a new position. In her speech, Consul General Baloch showed her reluctance to leave Chengdu, and she especially mentioned the support from CCPIT Sichuan Council during her office in Chengdu, and said she will keep promoting the cooperation with Sichuan and further the friendship between Sichuan and Pakistan.

Yang Xingping, vice governor of Sichuan, gave a speech on behalf of the provincial government. Leaders from Provincial Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs, Provincial Department of Commerce, and Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, etc., attended the reception.
