At the invitation of CCPIT Sichuan Council, the 5-member delegation comprised of Mr. Abdullah Salleh Al-Saadi, head of Arab Diplomatic Corps in China and Ambassador of Oman to China, Mr. Yahya Qaralleh, the rotating presidency of the League of Arab States Summit and Ambassador of Jordan to China, Mr. Ahcene BOUKHELFA, the rotating presidency of the Council of the League of Arab States (LAS) ministerial conference, economic committee of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in China and Ambassador of Algeria to China, and DR. MOHAMMED A.AL SHAFEE, Charge d'Affaires and Counsellor at the representative office of League of Arab States in China visited Sichuan from July 14 to 16, 2017.

On the afternoon of July 14, Yin Li, vice-secretary of Sichuan Provincial CPC Committee, Governor of Sichuan Province met with the delegation of Council of Arab Ambassadors in China. Tang Limin, secretary general of the provincial government, Mu Xinhai, director of Provincial Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs, Chen Guanghao, director of Investment Promotion Bureau of Sichuan Province and Li Gang, president of CCPIT Sichuan Council were present. 

 Governor Yin Li introduced to the delegation of Sichuan's economic and social development, and said that economies of Sichuan and the LAS members are highly complementary and the potential for bilateral economic and trade cooperation is huge. He hoped to actively promote the rapid economic growth of Sichuan and LAS through strengthening bilateral exchange and communication. Mr. Abdullah Salleh Al-Saadi, head of the delegation introduced the current development of the relationship between China and LAS, and said that the LAS members see the "Belt and Road Initiative" as a great opportunity for further strengthening coopeartion between both parties in the future. He welcomed and invited Sichuan provincial leaders to meet with LAS ambassadors to China in Beijing and promote in-depth exchanges and practical cooperation between Sichuan and the LAS members, so as to foster new highlights for economic cooperation and development of Sichuan and LAS.

Before the meeting, China-LAS Working Meeting on Project Investment & Cooperation was held by CCPIT Sichuan Council and the delegation of Council of Arab Ambassadors in China. At the working meeting, president Li Gang said that we are willing to establish a good cooperative relationship with LAS, and jointly facilitate the settlement of the "China-Arab International Innovation Industry City" in Sichuan. The delegation expressed thanks to CCPIT Sichuan Council's Attaching importance to bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and praised the settlement of the "China-Arab International Innovation Industry City" in Sichuan. They will give full play to the influence and appeal among the LAS members and actively motilize and promote relevant enterprises and organizations of LAS members to jointly participate in the project construction.
