Vice president Lv Furong met with Okada Eiji, the chief representative of the Chengdu Office of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), on July 20, 2017, exchanged opinions on participation of Japanese exhibition groups in the "4th Chengdu International Exhibition of Auto Parts and After-sales Service" (CAPAS Chengdu, for short) and carried out discussions on further cooperation between the two sides.

Okada Eiji introduced that it's the first time for JETRO to organize Japanese enterprises to attend the CAPAS Chengdu, and 12 Japanese enterprises participated in this Exhibition, the exhibition area amounted to 100 m2, and the overall satisfaction reached 91.7%; 11 products got transaction intention, with intention amount of RMB 141,000; Japanese exhibitors generally believed that they have achieved satisfactory results in this Exhibition, obtained a large number of customer business cards, understood the auto market in Sichuan Province, collected effective materials and information and promoted their own products. He also proposed to further increase the number of professional visitors, strengthen the management of the exhibition site and other suggestions.

Vice president Lv Furong thanked JETRO for its innovative way to actively participate in this CAPAS Chengdu and said that in-depth investigation would be carried out to enrich the forms and contents of the Exhibition, largely increase the number and quality of professional visitors and strive to do the 2018 CAPAS Chengdu better. She also expressed the desire to learn the advanced experience of Japanese auto industry and the hope that JETRO would continue to support and participate in CAPAS Chengdu.

Both sides also discussed the matters concerning the co-organization of the "China-Japan (Sichuan) Aging Industry Conference" upon invitation of the chief representative Okada Eiji. Vice president Lv Furong said that the development of the aging industry in Sichuan Province has great potential and the advanced concepts and experiences of Japan's pension industry are worth learning from, expressed the hope to strengthen the cooperation through joint hosting and participation in activities, and invited Japan to organize enterprises of Japan's smart pension industry to attend the next year's China (Chengdu) Smart Industry International Expo.
