On April 28, 2021, the "China-Netherlands (Sichuan) Agri-food Industry Cooperation Seminar", jointly organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Limburg Development and Investment Company, and the Netherlands Business Support Offices, was held in Chengdu. Mr. Koen Sizoo, the consul general of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing and Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council attended the seminar and delivered speeches.

In her speech, Mrs. Lei stated that Sichuan and Netherlands are at the same key node of the “Belt and Road Initiative”. The two sides have broad prospects and promises for deepening cooperation in the agricultural field under the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative. In the future, CCPIT Sichuan Council will further play its role as a bridge, continue to strengthen contacts with relevant Netherlands institutions, build a platform for economic, trade and cultural exchanges between bilateral enterprises, and jointly promote bilateral cooperation to a new level.

This event invited representatives of Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Limburg Development and Investment Company, and Dutch agricultural enterprises and parks to introduce the Dutch investment environment, Limburg’s agricultural industry and cooperation with China. And they carry out online docking with Sichuan Enterprises organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council.
