Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Sichuan Council welcomed Mr. Antonio Yung, envoy of City of Sacramento, the capital of California, GO-Biz China Trade & Investment Network and his delegation to Sichuan and briefly introduced the basic situation of Sichuan Province and the functional advantages of CCPIT Sichuan Council. She pointed out that in 2020, under the background of multiple shocks, the trade volume between Sichuan and the United States will grow against the trend. The United States is the largest trading partner of Sichuan Province. California, as the largest economic state and the most populous state in the United States, will establish an international friendship city with Sichuan Province in 2017. The bilateral economic and trade cooperation has a good foundation and great potential. At present, “The belt and road initiative”, “the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle”, “the Yangtze River economic belt development”, and the new era to promote a new pattern of the great western development, and other important national strategic development opportunities will be superimposed in Sichuan. CCPIT Sichuan Council will give full play to the functions of the upper alliance government, the affiliated enterprises and the outreach international, and promote the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and California. It is hoped that Mr. Antonio Yung, envoy of City of Sacramento will pay attention to and support Sichuan, actively participate in the major economic and trade activities organized by CCPIT Sichuan Council, and organize enterprise delegation to visit Sichuan when the epidemic situation is under control.

He said that Sichuan and California have had friendly and close people to people exchanges for a long time. Adhering to an open and inclusive attitude, California welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and develop business and close economic and trade exchanges. In the current context of China-US relations, the two sides should seek common ground while reserving differences, seek cooperation opportunities in commercial law, agriculture, education, automobile and other advantageous fields, and further strengthen economic and trade cooperation. Under the premise of controllable epidemic situation, we will promote mutual visits of bilateral missions and pragmatic implementation of cooperation projects.
