On February 18, 2022, CCPIT Sichuan Council held an online video conference with New Zealand China International Trade Association Inc., and exchanged views on the cooperation between the two sides to jointly promote the work of the representative office of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in New Zealand in 2022.

Mr.He Zhiyun, the President of New Zealand China International Trade Association Inc. introduced the work in 2021 and put forward working ideas and relevant suggestions on how to carry out economic and trade activities under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control in 2022.

In Covid-19, Vice President Lei Xuejie expressed appreciation for the great work done by New Zealand China International Trade Association Inc. during the Covid-19 outbreak and affirmed the achievements of New Zealand China International Trade Association Inc. to carry out the work of the Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in New Zealand. She pointed out that in the context of the 50th anniversary of China New Zealand diplomatic relations and the entry into force of the China New Zealand Free Trade Agreement upgrading protocol, the two sides should seize opportunities for cooperation. It is hoped that the representative office can better play the role of bridge and link in its future work, further strengthen information communication and exchange, promote commercial law services, import and export trade, policy publicity and other work, promote the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and New Zealand to a higher level, jointly tell the story of Sichuan and convey the voice of Sichuan.

CCPIT Sichuan Council and New Zealand China International Trade Association Inc. signed MOU in 2020 to jointly build the representative office of Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in New Zealand. Since the establishment of the representative office, the two sides have carried out a series of cooperation in information exchange, enterprise services, exhibition activities and so on.
