President Huang Li welcomed the visit of Chairman Harry Hung and his delegation, appreciated the work done by the Chamber of Commerce in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Hong Kong since its establishment, and briefly introduced the four service platforms of the Chamber of Commerce: International Relations, Trade and Investment Promotion, Commercial Legal Services and Development Research. She pointed out that in recent years, the cooperation between Sichuan and Hong Kong in various fields has become increasingly close, and Hong Kong has become the fifth largest trading partner and the largest source of foreign capital in Sichuan. 

At present, both Sichuan and Hong Kong are in the opportunity period of the superposition effect of national strategies. The cooperation between CCPIT Sichuan Council and Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sichuan is at the right time. It is hoped that the Chamber of Commerce will actively participate in the trade and investment promotion platform activities set up by the chamber, such as South Asia and Southeast Asia Business Leaders Summit, RCEP International Forum, China Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee meeting, CAPAS, Smart Expo and so on. At the same time, it is also hoped to strengthen communication and exchanges with Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce in training enterprises help to jointly expand overseas markets and deepen economic and trade cooperation.

Chairman Harry Hung thanked President Huang Li for her introduction. He said that Hong Kong and Sichuan have long enjoyed friendly and close economic and trade cooperation and people to people and cultural exchanges. Under the background of the establishment of the Sichuan Hong Kong cooperation conference mechanism, the potential of bilateral cooperation will be further explored. We hope to continue to strengthen exchanges with CCPIT Sichuan Council and further promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between enterprises of both sides.

Founded in 2012, Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sichuan has long been committed to promoting economic and trade development and exchanges between Sichuan and Hong Kong. It is an influential community organization in the province. In May 2021, the Chamber was officially renamed as Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sichuan, the former Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (region) of China.
