On Aug. 25, Sichuan-Colombia Investment and Promotion Conference was held in Chengdu. Mrs. Lei Xuejie, Vice President of CCPIT Scihuan and Mr. Oscar Felipe Neruda, Business Counselor of Embassy of the Republic of Colombia delivered speeches. Mr. Zou ji’ou, Secretary General of CCPIT Sichuan hosted the event. Representatives of 7 Sichuan enterprises from infrastructure, new materials, mining, logistics, biology who are interested in trade and investment cooperation with Colombia attended the conference.

Lei says that the cooperation between Sichuan and Colombia has a good foundation, the industries of the two sides are highly complementary, and the cooperation space is broad and the potential is huge. As a trade and investment promotion agency led by the Sichuan Government, CCPIT Sichuan will continue to play a role as a bridge, seize national strategic opportunities, help enterprises enter Colombia, organize more group visits, economic and trade interactions, and promote two-way trade and investment cooperation.

Oscar expressed his gratitude to CCPIT Sichuan for the long-term help and support. He pointed out that China and Colombia have always maintained good cooperative relations, and at present China has become Colombia's second largest trading partner in the world, and Chinese-funded enterprises actively participate in Colombia's construction in various fields. It is hoped that more Sichuan enterprises will pay attention to Colombia and strengthen bilateral cooperation. During the event, the Colombian Officer introduced Colombian investment opportunities and trade opportunities in detail, and had in-depth communication with enterprises.
