On May 7, Vice President Lei Xuejie met with Prsident Ivan of Frutas de Chile.

Vice President Lei Xuejie welcomed President Ivan's first visit to Sichuan. She briefly introduced the profile of Sichuan Province and the duties and functions of CCPIT Sichuan. She said that Sichuan and Chile have a sound foundation for exchanges, especially after President Boric's visit to Sichuan last year and Governor Huang Qiang's visit to Chile this year, which have further strengthened the cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as politics, economy, trade and culture. Sichuan is a largest province of China in terms of economy and population, with a population of 91 million and a consumer market of nearly 400 million around it. High-quality products from Chile including fruits, have broad market prospects in Sichuan. CCPIT Sichuan is willing to work with the Frutas de Chile and rely on the channel resources of the CCPIT Chile Office and the Consulate General of Chile in Chengdu to promote economic, trade and cultural exchanges between the two places.

President Ivan thanked CCPIT Sichuan for its warm reception. He said that Frutas de Chile attaches great importance to the development potential of Sichuan and regards it as an important strategic market and key development area for promoting Chilean fruit products in China. Through this visit, It is hoped to deepen the contact with the CCPIT Sichuan, strengthen cooperation in organizing enterprise visits, participating in exhibitions, B2B matchmakings, and jointly promote Chilean high-quality products to enter the western market of China.
