On July 9, 2024, President Huang Li met with the new Consul General of Myanmar MrKyaw Zay Yar Lin in Chongqing.

President Huang Li welcomed Consul General Kyaw Zay Yar Lin and introduced the development opportunities of Sichuan Province and the functions and responsibilities of CCPIT Sichuan. She said that Sichuan and Myanmar are highly complementary in trade and industry, and have broad space for cooperation in clean energy, smart agriculture, cultural and tourism exchanges, mineral development and other fields. It is hoped that the Consulate General can strengthen cooperation with CCPIT Sichuan, give full play to the platform advantages of the "Sichuan—South Asia & Southeast Asia Business Development Cooperation Conference", and actively invite investment promotion agencies, business associations and enterprises of Myanmar to visit Sichuan to attend the conference, so as to carry out precise matchmaking with Sichuan enterprises and explore cooperation opportunities.

Consul General Lin thanked CCPIT Sichuan for its long-term support. He said that CCPIT Sichuan has maintained close and friendly cooperation since the establishment of the Consulate General. The Consulate General will continue to play its role as a bridge and invite relevant institutions and enterprises of Myanmar to attend the conference in Sichuan and jointly promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges.
