Known as the "Land of Abundance", Sichuan is located in the hinterland of southwest China, covering an area of 486,000 square kilometers, administering 21 cities (prefectures), 183 counties (districts) with a population of 91 million. It is China’s large province in economy, population, resources and science and education. In 2020, Sichuan’s GDP reaches 4.86 trillion yuan (752 billion USD), ranking 6th in the country and 1st in the west, with a year-on-year growth of 3.8%.
